SW Region (Durango) -Comprehensive Salamander Training (New Version 3.0)
March 10, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - March 10, 2026, 4 p.m.
Description
The first half of the training day will focus on the all-new Salamander LIVE Version 3, a credentialing and resource management platform funded by the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM). Salamander LIVE V3 features a redesigned user interface and enhanced functionality, offering users an improved and more efficient experience. This session provides an excellent opportunity to explore the upgraded platform and its capabilities.
As a statewide solution, Salamander LIVE enables city and county agencies to credential personnel and equipment while producing standardized ID credentials. This ensures seamless interoperability across jurisdictional boundaries. The web-based system currently houses more than 78,960 personnel records and approximately 26,000 pieces of equipment throughout the State of Colorado.
The second half of the day will concentrate on operational tools within the Salamander ecosystem. Participants will learn how to use the Salamander TRACK App (for smartphones and tablets) to support real-time resource accountability. The training will also cover the rapidTAG system for incident-specific volunteer badging, as well as the rapidTAG EVAC solution for evacuation management and re-entry operations.
Additionally, attendees will be introduced to the new Salamander EVENTS PRO solution, a web-based electronic ICS flowchart designed to enhance situational awareness. The course will demonstrate how to generate incident-specific reports using Salamander LIVE and will conclude with an overview of the Salamander Asset Management (Inventory) module. This module highlights the system’s comprehensive inventory capabilities, including tracking fixed and consumable items, as well as deployable and non-deployable equipment within your organization.
